Luton Rising is a business and social enterprise that is owned by Luton Council entirely for community benefit, not private shareholders. Their largest asset is London Luton Airport which is by far the most socially impactful in the country, supporting and improving lives across the communities it serves.
Luton Rising is passionate about creating a positive change for Luton and the region and this can be seen through the various developments across the town, such as proposals for long term sustainable growth of the airport and the recently opened Luton DART. As socially responsible airport owners, they are fully aware of environmental impacts of the airport including carbon emissions, noise, traffic and air pollution and believe their sustainability measures will be some of the most far-reaching commitments to minimise environmental impacts ever put forward by a UK airport.
