Our tortoise design merges the ideas from four of our pupils ranging from Year 1 to Year 6. It embodies the diversity and inclusivity in our school community, whilst reflecting the importance of nature and the outdoor spaces we are lucky enough to benefit from. The image of the children holding hands signifies children working and playing together in harmony. The rainbow is a symbol of great importance at Bushmead so is prominent in the design. The words and phrases chosen by the children clearly show their feelings in regard to our school values and growth mindset. We feel that all of these aspects together are at the heart of the ethos at Bushmead Primary School.
