This bright and bold sculpture is called Phoenix , the fire hare: For many cultures both the phoenix and the hare are sacred animals that represent good fortune, strength and harmony. Inspired by cartoons, sci-fi, pop-surreal art and folklore, artist Marta Zubieta says, “My Phoenix Hare is an amulet for the city of Luton and its art scene, a guardian animal of its a multicultural and prolific creative scene”.
