The inspiration for our tortoise design was nature. At school, we have studied the work of Henri Rousseau. He painted images of jungles which were filled with flowers, plants, nature and animals. One reason for using nature as our inspiration is because our school is situated in the countryside. We designed flowers in autumnal colours including pink, purple, red and yellow. We wanted it to be bright and colourful and to make people feel happy. We have named the hare ‘Marnie’ which links to our school name! We hope that you feel happy when you see our tortoise!
