Gus is a Giant Galapagos Tortoise. He can live to more than 150 years old! He is one of the world’s many endangered species. There used to be over 250,000 of his kind living in the Galapagos Islands, but today that number has dwindled to approximately 17,000. Gus is representing his species in Luton on The Short Tail Trail, to raise awareness of the plight of his kind in the wild. Find out more about Galapagos Tortoises here.
