What happens when flamingos (in hats) play football?…. Meet ‘Captain Chaos’! These pink feathered friends are a nod to the heritage of the former Arndale Centre, now Luton’s Mall, and the present day Hat Gardens development. Accompanied by motifs of local industry – the straw boater, and the town’s famous Hatters F.C. (who are obviously much better than these birds at playing football… we suspect not having webbed feet may help on the pitch!). A playful hand-painted tortoise, who draws upon the contrast between slow and fast, enthusiasm and calamity.
