Sandra Russell

Sculpture: Tig-Hare

Sandra is a painter, illustrator and storyboard artist. She mainly works for advertising agencies in London, and also paints traditionally using oils, acrylics and watercolour creating landscapes and portraits and also illustrates for magazines and books. Sandra has painted several fun sculptures such as elephants, owls, giraffes and tv characters like Morph and Shaun the Sheep, and she enjoys seeing how much the children, and adults of course, like seeing them all out on their trails. She painted Pop Star for the Big Trunk Trail and loved painting a hare for the Short Tail Trail!

“I wanted to create a new animal! A fun mixture of a tiger and a hare. A fierce roaring colourful hare that would be the talk of the town, with a beautiful coat with a lovely and cheerful bright orange with striking stripes that are bound to make him stand out from the crowd”.
