Sculptures: Carnival Hopper and Phoenix

Marta is a multidiscipline artist, illustrator, merch creator, muralist and graphic designer. Inspired by cartoons, sci-fi, pop-surreal art and folklore, Marta enjoys helping brands and individuals to communicate concepts and emotions through illustration and to find their own visual voice with a touch of humour and surrealism.

Her Phoenix ‘fire’ hare is an amulet for the city of Luton and its art scene, a guardian animal of its a multicultural and prolific creative scene. For many cultures both the phoenix and the hare are sacred animals that represent good fortune, strength and harmony.

Marta’s second design represents Luton’s famous international carnival, where colours, accessories, feathers, and flags from all countries gather to embrace a breadth of cultures.  Get into the ‘carnival spirit’ with Marta’s tribute to the blend of cultures and creativity through art, music, and performance that bring Luton together.
